Binance Delisting Another Few Coins

Posted by in crypto, news | 0 comments

Binance, one of the most popular crypto exchanges on the world is decided to delist another five coins from their platform. Here and there when some coin doesn’t have enough volume (as they like to say “continues to meet the high level of standard we expect”), they delist it; “to protect users”. So, generally, they doesn’t do that just because of the VOLUME, but the other reasons too.

This time the list contains 5 coins: CLOAK, MOD, SALT, SUB and WINGS. It is interesting that some of these coins have significant volume (in comparison to some other altcoins listed on Binance), for example, CloakCoin have daily volume over $1,000,000 USD and majority of the volume is at Binance.

Modum coin has almost everything happening on Binance, so if devs doesn’t find other big exchange, coin can die. Salt is a another interesting pick for delisting because they are listed on a large variety of exchanges and Binance is not the biggest in volume.

Substratum coin users reacted pretty rough after these news and coin price dropped about 20%. The main reason is that over 90% of exchange went through Binance. Wings is listed on Bittrex, Upbit and HitBTC (and others also), so they will probably survive this big hit despite todays drop of 14%.

Binance will delist these coins and tokens on 2019/02/22 at 10:00 AM UTC, so if you have some of these coins on exchange, move them to your local wallet or other place.
